Story ( Spoiler Free) :-

The Movie revolves around the Character of Leda (Olivia Colman) who is a professor, She had taken a long break and goes by the seaside on a trip. There she finds a great bonding between a Mother a Daughter.

She obsessed with their unconditional bonding. Now she finds mysterious things happening around her. She has two children but when asked about them she starts fainting.

what happened to Leda? Why is she obsessed with the bonding between the Mother and Daughter? What is Leda Flashback? What happened to her Daughters? Did she sort out the mystery that forms the crux of the story?

Positives 👍:-

  • Olivia did a terrific performance through out the film. She lived in the character.
  • Debutant Director Maggie Gyllenhaal vision towards this film is great. She narrated the entire film without any sidetracks.
  • production values are good.
  • Music and Background scores are decent.
  • Cinematography is Great.

Negatives 👎:-

  • Nothing to say.

Overall:-

The Lost Daughter is out and out an Engaging film filled with great emotions of motherhood. Olivia Performance will cherish you throughout the film. all others had done their best. The Debutant director Maggie did a grandeur entry with this film.

Production Values and Cinematography are at their level best. Background score is apt.No negatives to say.

A must watch film.
