The story is all about the life story of Gangubai who is passionate about films since childhood. The twist in the tale arises when she loves a guy and both travel to Mumbai as he promised to get film chances for her, but to her shock, he sold her over the red light area. As no choice was left to her, she took Prostitution as a full-time job.
Now, what are the challenges faced by Gangubai? What are the tactics she played with politicians? What is the Gangubai motto? did she achieve? What is the role of Ajay Devagan? What happened at the end forms the crux of the story.

- Slow narration.
- Not showcased emotional content.
- Might not engage everyone.
Overall:-
Honest efforts made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the name of Gangubai Kathiawada but due to missing of emotional connect it might not engage everyone. Alia Bhatt delivered terrific performance and gave her best. Ajay Devagan too gave a top-notch performance.
Production Values are top-notch and the Cinematography visuals are great. One can manage its slow narration due to the performances.
